We Counldn't Breath--Until Now.

Updated: Nov 29, 2020

We are learning to see this mandatory closure as a blessing in disguise.

By Brittany Phelps

Namaste Yogis, First and foremost, THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out to check on our staff and our studio. It is a trying time but we want to share that we have adopted a positive outlook on a glum situation.  Have you ever felt that you needed to take a break but you "couldn't" and so you wore your immune system down so much that you became ill? Hasn't our society been too sick, too tired, and too bogged down for TOO long?  For many years the masses have been living in a way that fast-tracks the presence of chronic disease; and the only way to cure the chronic un-wellness that persists in America is to stop and metaphorically lift our gaze. We need less noses to the ground and more birds-eye view. We need less justification of "why we live this way" and more heart-centered, intuitive shifts to living in a way that supports our ability to THRIVE!  Over the last decade we, which includes: individuals, businesses, industries, and the planet, have been fighting for our ability to breathe. Ironically, we are combating a severe respiratory virus; and it is indeed a massive threat to feeling ease and freedom. So in the safety of your homes, do us one favor-- take an enormous INHALE, followed by a long exhale! Follow this flow: Inhale. Pause. Feel. Exhale. Close your eyes, and do it again. Continue with this breath until you can feel peace rise up from within you. Sit with your inner peace and let your curiosity grow; how can this newfound sensation affect all other aspects of your life? Can you begin to feel how cultivating unchanging peacefulness can soften the emotional undulations of life?  We are going to spend the next few weeks doing everything we can to recharge in order to be ready to serve our community.  We greatly look forward to emerging into Spring and emerging into healthier times.  When that time comes, it will call for a GREAT community celebration! Until then, we have a number of things to share with you, please read on: STUDIO OPERATIONS:

“Human beings cannot live without challenge. We cannot live without meaning. Everything ever achieved we owe to this inexplicable urge to reach beyond our grasp, do the impossible, know the unknown. The Upanishads would say this urge is part of our evolutionary heritage, given to us for the ultimate adventure: to discover for certain who we are, what the universe is, and what is the significance of the brief drama of life and death we play out against the backdrop of eternity.”    ―  The Upanishads
